DISCUSS & ENGAGE THE SCRIPTURES

Click here for a link to all Scripture references from the message.

Mission is using all of my life to help people discover and experience the availability of the kingdom of God through the person and work of Jesus. Use this definition as you invite the Holy Spirit into the questions below!

1. Read Luke 10:25-37. In this story, we see the expert in the law, the broken man, the priest and Levite who walk past him, and the Good Samaritan who helped him. Who do you relate to most in this story in this season of your life?

2. Read 1 John 3:16-18. What’s something God has already placed in your life (time, resources, relationships, etc.) that you could use to love your neighbor this week?

3. What’s one shift you can make in your thought life (like engaging Scripture more than media) or in your daily rhythms (adding margin in your calendar to notice others) that would help you experience the joy of living on mission with God?

4. Read 1 Corinthians 12:27. When you reflect on how Jesus enters your brokenness, heals your wounds, and carries you, how does it change the way you live as the body of Christ (hands and feet of Jesus)?

Reminder: If you take a next step, mark your move! Celebrate with your circle! Grab a marker at the Info Tower, mark your move on the Movement Board, and cheer each other on. Learn more at valleycreek.org/nextsteps.

PRAY

Jesus, may we receive what You have done for us, and may that lead us in love to those near to us.
