Do You Remember What It Was Like?

Mission is using all of my life to help people discover and experience the availability of the kingdom of God through the person and work of Jesus. Use this definition as you invite the Holy Spirit into the questions below!

1. Read Luke 5:17-26. In this story, we see the broken man, the four friends, the crowd, and the Pharisees. Who do you relate to most in this story in this season of your life, and who do you want to become?

2. Read 1 Timothy 1:12-14 TLB. Forgetfulness is the greatest barrier to mission. When we’re intentional in remembering what Jesus has done in our lives, we can’t help but share that with others. How has your life changed since you met Jesus? How does reflecting on who you were before Jesus help you have compassion for others who don’t know Him yet?

3. Read Matthew 4:19 and Luke 19:10. Mission is personal, inconvenient, and messy. Jesus demonstrated that this isn’t an interruption to our work – it is our work. What is the Holy Spirit revealing to you about your natural response to this reality of mission?

Reminder: If you take a next step, mark your move! Celebrate with your circle! Grab a marker at the Info Tower, mark your move on the Movement Board, and cheer each other on. Learn more at valleycreek.org/nextsteps.

PRAY

Who are we inviting to our Circle? This is how we live on mission. Wrap up in prayer for those people by name.
