Read Matthew 4:17. Jesus’ main message was to repent. If the Sermon on the Mount is an invitation to a good and beautiful life then, as disciples of Jesus, we have to figure out how to arrange our lives in alignment with it.

1. How would you describe a good and beautiful life before hearing this message? Where do you think that definition came from?

2. Where in your life might you be defending sin (small or big)?

3. How is your perspective of God’s goodness and beauty shifting as your mind is being renewed on what the Beatitudes actually mean?

4. Based on this conversation and what the Holy Spirit is saying to you, what is one next step He’s inviting you to take toward the good and beautiful life He’s offering you?

Jesus, may we think of you as good and true and right as we seek to find the good and beautiful life You offer.
