In the midst of the storm that seems to be raging all around us, I think we are all ready for some fresh hope & new life. We’re ready for the circumstances to change. For the situation to be resolved. For a breakthrough to come. And while we wait for that to happen, Jesus offers us a resurrection today!
You see, a resurrection isn’t just a one-time event - it’s a way of life. It’s a willingness to submit & surrender every area of life to Jesus for constant & continual renewal. It’s allowing His finished work to raise up every dead or dying thing in our lives (like our hearts, thoughts, attitudes, relationships, beliefs, priorities, etc.). A resurrection isn’t about God changing the circumstances – it’s about God changing US. It’s about experiencing the new life He offers regardless of the circumstance around us. And so, as we head into Easter week, we are reminded that Jesus came & laid down His life so that we might live. He died on the cross AS us & rose to new life FOR us so that we could have a resurrection life today.
Over the next 5 days I want to invite you to experience a fresh resurrection in your own life. To allow His supernatural power to raise you up in spite of the circumstances that are trying to hold you down. Each day there will be a fresh “It’s Time for a Resurrection” post with 5 really simple steps for you to walk through – Prepare-Discover-Respond-Declare-Share. Each day will only take about 10 min & will lead us into fresh hope & new life.
This experience will be as good as you make it. If you really want to get the most out of it, I want to encourage you to:
- Engage with your whole heart - just go for it! Decide you are going to fully do each step every day regardless of how you feel.
- Have faith - choose to believe that God is working even if you can’t see it.
- Invite other people to do it with you - ask your friends, family, or tribe to do it with you. Their faith will build yours.
It’s time for a resurrection in Jesus’ name.
