So, Jesus, we welcome You in this place. We welcome You, Jesus. You are our one thing, You are our only thing, You are our main thing, You are our everything. And we honor You, King Jesus. We honor You with praise.

We honor You with worship because You are worthy of our worship and honor and praise and thanksgiving and gratitude. We express our gratitude to You today in this place. We honor You with praise. We lift up our hands, we lift up our voice, we lift up our praise. We lift up our worship to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the one who sits on the throne, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the Holy One, the Healer, the Salvation, our Salvation, our Redeemer, our Friend, our Lord, our Savior. We worship You, we honor You, we lift You up, Jesus. You are all in all. You are the great I Am. You are the beginning and the end. We worship You. We honor You, King of kings, Lord of lords. Lord of lords, we worship You with all of our heart and all of our strength. We say You are the one thing, You are the main thing. Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere, Lord. Better is one day with You, Jesus, than anywhere else. So, we honor You like we honor a king stepping into the room. We honor You with praise. We honor You because You are worthy. We honor You because You're filled with majesty. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. His name is Jesus.

Jesus, You are here, which means Your goodness is here, which means Your mercy is here, which means Your healing is here, which means Your love is here, which means Your grace is here, which means Your spirit is here, which means Your word is here, and Your word is living and active. So, we declare Your word back to You. We declare Your word that is spirit and that is life back to You today. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name. Proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among all the nations, His marvelous deeds among all the peoples, for great is the Lord and most worthy of praise. He is to be feared above all gods, for all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him. Strength and glory are in His sanctuary. So, ascribe to the Lord all You families and nations. Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord glory to His name. Bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. Tremble before Him all the earth. Say among the nations, "The Lord reigns." The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity. He will judge the peoples with equity. Let the heavens rejoice. Let the earth be glad. Let the sea resound and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant and let everything in them. Let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for He comes. He comes to judge the earth. He will come in the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness. God, You are faithful. And so, today, we sing to You a new song. We praise You for who You are because You are good and worthy to be praised today.

Jesus, You are wonderful. You are beautiful. You are glorious. We are captivated by You. We are in awe of You. Holy is Your name. There's nobody like You. There will never be anybody like You. You are the one thing, You are the main thing, You are the only thing.

Jesus. Jesus. Jesus, we just want You. Jesus, we want more of You. Jesus, we're hungry and we're thirsty for You and only You. You are the one thing, the main thing, the only thing, the everything. Oh, God, You are our God and earnestly we seek You. Our soul thirsts for You. Our body longs for You in a dry and weary land where there is no water. We have seen You in the sanctuary and we have beheld Your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, our lips will glorify You. I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name, I will lift my hands. Jesus, we are hungry for You. We are thirsty for You. We long for You. We want You. We need You. We cry out for You. We declare Your name. We lift up Your name. We look to You. We behold You. We focus on You. We turn our attention to You. We prophetically start this year with an act of faith to say You are the only thing that matters in our life.

You are the one thing that matters in this church. Jesus, we say this is a holy and sacred moment for our lives and for our church as we start this year because we don't want anything else. We don't want anything else. I want to fix my thoughts on You and I want to think about You and think like You. I want to fix my eyes on You because I want to look at You and behold You. I want to turn my ears towards You because I want to hear from You and about You. I want my feet to follow You and to walk by faith and in the spirit. I want my hands to serve You and wash Your feet because You are the King. I want my heart to be turned towards You because You are the only one worthy of the affection and the devotion and the love of what I have. I want my soul to be filled with You and You alone in the deepest parts of who You have created me to be. I want to cry out to You and to be filled by You. So, in this moment, we just look at You, Jesus. We look at You because You're not way far off in the galaxy. You're right here. You're right here in this room with me and with us. And You're real and You're good and You're kind. So, we start this year by declaring the name of Jesus because the name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and are saved.

And so, we say the name of Jesus and all the other names that describe how great Jesus is. That You are the good shepherd leading us through the valley of the shadow of death, and we don't have to be afraid because You are with us taking us to green pastures and still waters. And You're the rock on whom we build our life, and no storm can come against You and take us out when we're built on You. And You are the great counselor, giving us guidance and wisdom and discernment and understanding on where to go and how to live. And You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. You always have been, You always will be. You are the great I Am, which means You can be anything You want to be and You will be everything we need You to be. You are Jesus, the one and only. Jesus, we want more of You. We want more of You in our church. We want more of You in our lives. We want more of You in our families. We want more of You in our city. We want more of You in our schools. We want more of You in our jobs. We just want more of You, Jesus. And so, we say, Jesus, have Your way in this church this year. Have Your way in our lives this year. Have Your way in our families this year. May we live under the open heaven that You died to create. May this place be filled with signs and wonders that point people to Jesus and leave us in awe of the goodness and the graciousness of God. May words of prophecy be released. May words of knowledge be spoken. May healings be released in people's bodies even as we turn our attention to Jesus. May there be breakthrough in our lives. May we be free of the things of this world all because of one name, Jesus, and it's Your name. It's Your name. Jesus, I don't want to play church. I don't want to do religion. I don't want to host events. I don't want to just gather as if You're not here and not real. Jesus, I don't want to come into this place and think it all rests on man. No, I want to show up every week and believe that You are here and You are good and You are worthy and You are moving and You are changing and healing and restoring. Because You're the only. Because You're the only.

And I start this year confessing how many times in my life I want everything else. I start confessing how many times in my life I want everything else. And You don't want songs and dance and declarations. The sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite heart. So, we confess and repent of all of the other things that we want more than You. And we ask for a divine grace to stir our souls and make us so discontent where the things of this world no longer satisfy. To draw us deeper into Your heart because You created us for Yourself. And until we find our rest in You, we live restless, weary, burdensome lives. And the Scriptures tell us that one day, one day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. In other words, one day, we will all understand that You are the one thing, the only thing, the main thing, and the everything. And as we start this year, Jesus, we choose to bow before You today, to humble ourselves and bow to say You are Lord and You are King and You are worthy and You are good. We choose to start this year, Jesus, bowing before You. We don't want to spend this year bowing before depression. We don't want to spend this year bowing to anxiety. We don't want to spend this year bowing to performance. We don't want to spend this year bowing to sin and the works of the flesh and the things of this world. We don't want to spend this year bowing to man. We don't want to bow to money. We don't want to bow to greed or sex or lust. We don't want to bow to ourselves and all the brokenness that resides within us. Instead, we choose right now to bow to You. And when we bow to You, that depression and that anxiety and that fear and that people-pleasing and that greed and that sin and all the things inside of us, they're bowing right now too. They're bowing to the name of Jesus, the strong tower that we run into and are saved. Jesus, You are. We don't even need to fill in the blank because You are. You just are. You are, Jesus, and that's all that needs to be said because that name changes everything. With broken and contrite hearts and the spirit of humility, we bow before the one thing at the beginning of this year. And we say just You, Jesus. Just You. I will not bow to the things of this world. I bow to You, the only, the main, the every, the one. I am so tired of bowing to all the other things. Whoever I bow before is who I give authority over my life. Jesus, I bow before You and give You authority over my life. And our marriages and our children and our bodies and our minds and our souls and our lives and our jobs and our finances and our health and our vision and our destiny, we bow before You and give You authority over it all. Just You, Jesus.
